Prey mammals have micron-scale guard hairs that act as thermal antennas to detect incoming predators, which are innervated directly to the cortex and spinal column for optimized reaction time.

The environment is awash in non-visible informational light. All of nature is a luminous symphony, a dance of light and shadow.
