These are my grandfather's old medical books from the 1950s and '60s. Mostly in Dutch, some with underlining and notes. We tried to sell them on Marktplaats (Dutch website) but no one seems to want them. That makes me sad.
I guess the only option now is to toss them 😢
@avehtari@mcmc_stan I have a very limited knowledge on this topic, but find it interesting. How well does this "HMC+Laplace" compare to "Variational Inference" both conceptually as well as in terms of computational speed? Thank you very much.
Together with @celimouseMontp and @freddelsuc, it is our great pleasure to announce the publication of the Open Access "Phylogenetics in the Genomic Era" book

@MarcBonten Very good point. First I read about it elsewhere and then twitted it without giving any second thought. I think current status of countries can't easily be reduced to a single such factor.
@MarcBonten This might be useful; though, only read its abstract: "Correlation between universal BCG vaccination policy and reduced morbidity and mortality for COVID-19: an epidemiological study" https://t.co/2TRefmohwD

A great microbiome resource by @nsegata@kyrpides of 280,000 genomes and 625,000,000 genes!
More than doubles the previous gene catalog. Still much to discover since 70% of species do not have cultured representatives and 40% of genes unannotated
