Taking the helm of the Fisheries Ministry has been both a revealing and challenging experience. I have had the privilege of witnessing firsthand the struggles of our fisherfolk, whom I am deeply committed to serving. Through stakeholder consultations, field visits, and engagements across various regions, I have gained valuable insights into the vast potential of the fisheries sector.
As a native of Shama, a thriving fishing community, I see striking similarities between our local challenges and those faced by fishing communities nationwide. This personal connection strengthens my resolve to drive meaningful change. I am dedicated to implementing strategies that foster economic growth, promote community development, and improve livelihoods for our hardworking fisherfolk.
Aligned with the vision of H.E. John Dramani Mahama and H.E. Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, to reset our nation, I remain committed to making a lasting impact. With the unwavering support of stakeholders and the fisheries community, I am confident that together, we can build a brighter future for Ghana’s fisheries sector.

It is WORLD CLEANUP DAY 2024.
Make a conscious effort to clean your environment. We must find innovative ways of mobilising our communities to come together regularly to clean up and in the process educate ourselves on how to avoid littering the community.
