@DearOldEvan@LonelyGoomba Konami artificially gets credit because a term meant to be used by CV fans to differentiate between old style (“Classicvania”) and new style (“Metroidvania”) was hijacked by retards who don’t know what it means.
@ParisTor1@LonelyGoomba Tbf, the term was coined specifically for SOTN to be used within the CV community to describe how different it was from the previous “Classicvanias”, the GBA and DS games also qualify for the same reason. Then retards decided any game using that formula was a “Metroidvania”.
@azraki@immalkwalahi They already did the remaster of this, it’s just been a long time so I think people forgot. But we got CVX HD on PS3 and 360. The 360 version is backward compatible with Xbox One and Series S/X.
@After_Dark_11@GiveTHawkAGunMD Looks to me like they didn’t like the gameplay and, in fact, did live a normal life. It’s very normal to not play games you don’t enjoy, and you aren’t entitled to people playing games they don’t like.
@Shadow_man7@mantis_bunny Nintendo wouldn’t be the one making a YouTube app. Their priorities mean dick all in this conversation. This would be about Google’s priorities.
@Chilly_MIV There is a way to “own” old titles via the eShop. They’re just not a specific game you want to you pretend none of them exist. There are literally a few hundred you can buy including Nintendo’s.
@My2capsbeyotch@ZikadaPrime How is it over priced when it’s half the price of a Steam Deck with more power? And the Deck doesn’t even come with its Dock. You have to pay 3x more than the Switch 2 costs to get something more powerful.
@jmat2953_real Not that I’m saying that it is or should happen, but it’s definitely feasible. The kicker is the limited game selection. A homebrew PC emulator doesn’t have to worry about if a game is actually worth playing on its setup.
@jmat2953_real Limited game selection, screen options like WiiU DS VC and PC DS/3DS emus have, gyroscope cursor control for some touch functions like Captain Toad Switch port. Stuff like MM Zero/ZX Legacy and Castlevania Dominus Collection already work great even without some of these options.
@Nashur60@GamesCage_ Owning the original version of a game and getting a discount on the new version for it is, in fact, a traditional upgrade path. It’s a way to upgrade that’s older than the first Switch, it’s how Nintendo made upgrades for Wii VC to WiiU VC work.
@kuwimimi The GBA was in this exact same position, but worse since even for its time literally any PC would run the most demanding GBA game. The Switch isn’t necessarily hard to emulate but you at least need something decent for it and even the Steam Deck has a hard time with bigger games.
@trentreed27 It’s nice but taken for granted since 3DS and Switch 1 had this same feature, PS and Xbox have been doing it just as long. Steam Deck has it too sort of. The game runs in the background when you navigate other menus like any other PC but you can sleep and come back any time.
@ASJAustin How many people can be in one picture? Me and my brother want to come and he might bring his kid. Also what are the prices? I don’t see anything on the Justice Comics or your website.
