Lost my mobile near Thane Railway Station in September.
Complaint lodged the same day at Manpada Police Station.
Months later — no call, no update, no status.
Is this how a common citizen is treated after doing everything by the book?
@MumbaiPolice@ThaneCityPolice
@ThaneCityPolice Can you understand the message that DM is not possible on @ThaneCityPolice or are you ignoring as usual??
@DGPMaharashtra
This shows your excuse syndrome and careless approach for people's betterment. Hope a sensible response that works.
Has the department ever audited: • Number of mobile-theft complaints registered
• Number actually traced
• Number quietly forgotten
If policies exist only on paper, who ensures they are followed on ground?

Hi @Olacabs
Does automation mean surrendering customer centricity, or is it just manmani in the name of efficiency?
When a customer needs urgent help, is forcing them into endless FAQs and chat loops really “support”?
@ola_supports@Olacabs
Can you please update the status. Is the team making the invoice by hand? It's just a small thing to share from the existing database. How can it take like 15 days to do this? R you willing to do it? Please share asap and update here once you have done. @consumer_forum
@Olacabs
I wrote to Ola Support for help. This is the response I received 👇
“Please use chat support in the History section. This email is not monitored.”
This is not support. This is deflection.

Being a newcomer, they have such a smooth process of retrieving useful information at the user end itself, unlike you guys of controlling users and still delivering zero outcomes!
@ThaneCityPolice DM is disabled for @ThaneCityPolice twitter handle. Please let me know how else can be reached and update me on the queries in the post.
Trust in public institutions is built on follow-through, not formalities.
If common citizens must shout on social media to be heard, something is deeply broken.
Awaiting a response — not assurances, but action.
@ThaneCityPolice@mygovindia@DARPG_GoI@CPMumbaiPolice
I respectfully challenge the authorities to do one of two things:
1️⃣ Trace the device
OR
2️⃣ Provide me a written Action Taken Report
Citizens have the right to know what has been done, not just file papers.
@mygovindia@DARPG_GoI
A stolen phone is not just a gadget.
It holds personal data, banking access, work records — real risk to citizens.
When police stations treat such complaints casually, they expose citizens to further harm.
This deserves senior-level attention.

@ThaneCityPolice
As a taxpayer, I am not asking for favours.
I am asking for basic accountability.
• Was my complaint investigated?
• Was the IMEI traced?
• Who is the IO handling this case?
Silence cannot be the default response of a public service.

Requesting @Olacabs to please:
1️⃣ Enable a manual way to retrieve September invoices
2️⃣ Provide a real escalation path when the app fails
This should not require a public thread to resolve.
@Olacabs
Email support auto-closes tickets.
Chat support pushes users back to FAQs.
No human escalation. No alternative channel.
So where exactly is a customer supposed to go when automation fails?
@Olacabs
My issue is very simple:
• I need OLA ride invoices for September
• They are no longer visible in the app
• Invoices weren’t delivered as my registered mailbox was full
• The app offers no workaround
