@ltgrusselhonore@MSNBC@CNN@nytimes Don’t pay attention to what the orange turd says. Watch and report what they do! Don’t get distracted with the shit trying to create chaos and divide us. We gotta be prepared when he robs us and we let him do it because we are fighting about the Gulf of Mexico
NO to the two-state solution. That ship sailed, hit an iceberg, and sank a long time ago.
And from a Jewish perspective, I’m tired of being told that Jewish safety has to depend on giving the Palestinian national movement one more chance to prove it can coexist with us.
Not every national movement automatically earns a state. The Kurds have a powerful claim to self-determination after generations of persecution, yet somehow Palestinian statehood is treated as an international obligation no matter how many times violence, rejectionism, and failed leadership follow.
At some point, “try again” becomes insanity.
I keep seeing Jews praise Ahmed Fouad Alkhatib as a “radical pragmatist.” He condemns Hamas, which is good. He criticizes Israel, which naturally gets him plenty of attention. His bio describes him as “pro-Palestine & anti-Hamas/violence, pro-peace/coexistence.”
Okay. Let’s unpack that.
Pro-Palestine. What exactly does Palestine mean here? A Palestinian culture and people? Fine. But if it means another sovereign Palestinian state alongside Israel, then we’re still discussing the same political objective. The method may be different, but the destination remains Palestinian statehood.
Anti-Hamas. Good. But after October 7 and after what Hamas has done to Gazans themselves, opposing Hamas should be the starting point, not some extraordinary act of courage deserving a blank check on everything else.
Anti-violence. Again, good. But violence has repeatedly brought Palestinians devastation rather than independence. Israel survived every attempt to destroy it. A pragmatist should understand that better than anyone.
Pro-peace. Wonderful. Every Jew I know wants peace. But what does “peace” actually require? Israeli concessions? Ending military operations regardless of the security situation? Another agreement based on promises that the next generation won’t pick up where the last one left off?
Jews have heard promises of peace before. Forgive us if Jewish survival requires more than promises.
And then there’s coexistence.
Israel already contains Jews from every corner of the diaspora alongside Muslim and Christian Arabs, Druze, Bedouins and others. It isn’t perfect because no country is, but coexistence isn’t some theoretical idea Israelis have never attempted.
Meanwhile, the Palestinian national movement has left a very complicated history with its neighbors: Black September in Jordan, the PLO’s role in Lebanon’s turmoil and war, Arafat’s disastrous support for Saddam Hussein after Iraq invaded Kuwait, and ultimately the collapse of the Oslo dream into another era of bloodshed.
So why is Israel always expected to be the laboratory for the next experiment?
Jewish history has taught us something rather important: when someone tells you their political ambitions require putting Jewish lives at risk, believe the risk.
Before Israel is asked to gamble Jewish lives on another promise that this time will be different, let Palestinian society demonstrate peaceful, functional self-government and coexistence somewhere other than against the people it has spent generations calling its enemy.
Israel does not owe anyone a suicide pact disguised as optimism.
For two thousand years Jews prayed toward Jerusalem while empires came and went. We finally returned to sovereignty in our ancestral homeland. Protecting that sovereignty and Jewish life is not extremism. It is one of the hardest lessons Jewish history ever taught us.
You don’t reward the threat of violence with sovereignty.
"FBI seizes Swalwell's devices, executes search warrants in sexual misconduct probe"
As I have said many times before, if you broke the law, I don't care if you are a Republican or Democrat; justice should prevail.
The thing is, THIS FBI is corrupt as hell. It's simply not possible for any American to trust Kash Patel's brand of "justice."
Republicans LOVE to lecture folks about meritocracy and earning your way.
Then explain Darline Graham @DarlineGrahamSC and Ralph Norman @RepRalphNorman .
One inherited her brother’s Senate seat and admitted to not knowing a damn thing about foreign policy. The other has spent nearly a decade in Congress with a post office bill as his crowning legislative achievement.
I can name several SC Republicans I vehemently disagree with but who are far more qualified than either.
Meritocracy my ass. SMDH. The only right choice is to VOTE for the Doctor y'all... @AnnieAndrewsMD ! @scdp
I was married for 18 years. I have also dated a lot. I can confirm that living as a single woman in your little hobbit hole of a house eating cake and tea, reading all your little books, doing your skincare, wearing whatever you want, never having to ask permission or explain yourself or clean up someone else shit… is absolute heaven.
@daveweigel This Ossoff/Harp media blowback has shown us that the media is ready to ignore every vile thing Trump has said with GOP approval the minute one Democrat dares to say something mildly offensive
There is no Dem solution to that issue

Let me see if I have this straight: in 2026, the President of the United States
1Wants to reduce military exercises with key ally South Korea because he thinks he has a “good relationship” with Kim Jong Un, the North Korean dictator who leads a country that can’t feed itself, jails and executes hundreds of thousands of its own people, and props up its economy by counterfeiting U.S. currency and international pharmaceuticals, and renting out its military to Russia
2Wants U.S. Navy battleships to return to outdated technologies to have more of a “World War II aesthetic” because he thinks they “looked better” regardless of their current advanced warfighting capabilities
3Threatens to “bomb the shit out of” a longtime Gulf region ally who has worked to rescue American hostages from Iran, back channeled sensitive, covert communications between the U.S. and the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps over the Iraq war and other regional crises, and is now helping to facilitate secret oil tanker loading to circumvent the Straits of Hormuz and stabilize global energy prices
4But stands by a Defense Secretary who prioritizes testosterone therapy to make “better warfighters” over the well being of an aircraft carrier crew that’s been at sea for nine months and is stretched to the breaking point
Yeah, this guy is compromised by a foreign intelligence service, everything he does is good for our enemies’ morale…
Our allies don’t trust us…..
Our enemies don’t fear us……
Dangerously Incompetent
DONALD J. TRUMP
Sickening that corporate media has been directed by their billionaire handlers to ask every Democrat about the DSA platform in an effort to divide the party, instead of the GOP platform of kidnapping, starvation, murder, and death.
@caitiedelaney I just visited my hometown in Ohio 2 wkends in a row family and high school reunions. I’ve got so much to unpack it will be a long time before I go back. I left when I was 19 to the DMV and I never wanted to move back
