They raped her for hours and not a single one of them was expelled from @Cornell despite the school fully being aware of what took place. Their only punishment was to write an essay. That girl had her life destroyed by these men and this was the “justice” she received. None of them were charged or convicted.
Racially, she is black. Race is the colour of your skin, and no one in this world is going to look at Manon RACIALLY and say oh she’s white, in that context she’s black. However. Her ETHNICITY is half black & half white, which is her heritage. Just had to correct it slightly.
@iiblowurmiind Mixed people can come in many variations which was something that I have never dismissed, but this seems to be going in circles. I was talking about the social definition of race, and how people would perceive her via her skin tone. I do see where you’re coming from and I never -
@iiblowurmiind (Sorry had to continue here) she would be perceived. I never dismissed her genetics hence why her ethic background, as I have stated is mixed and did agree that she’s mixed.
@iiblowurmiind As I said again, race is the colour of your skin. So her skin complexion will be deemed as black within society. She is a mixed race woman I 100% agree but she is black passing, so she will be naturally be more perceived as black than white racially speaking.
Race, Ethnicity, and Nationality are 3 different things, and I’m concerned that people are intertwining the definitions, when they all have 3 different ones.
