Today is Lincoln Alexander day, a day to learn more about the significant role that Black Canadians have made and continue to make in shaping the land we now refer to as Canada. How do we continue to celebrate Black excellence throughout the year?
#Ontario teachers and students, if you'd like to share your back to school at peak Omicron experiences, but feel uncomfortable or unable to do so publicly, my DMs are open and am happy to share them while protecting your anonymity.
If you're an educator, please follow me and I'll follow you back. It's a great way to expand our educational networking community. Make sure that your title as "educator," "teacher" or "administrator," is listed in your profile.

We recommend that the government delay the return to in-person learning to provide all students in #OntEd with adequate PPE. We also recommend that the provincial government continue to monitor COVID-19 cases in schools and communicate the number of case counts to the community.
We support the plan of the government & public health officials to have staff and students return to in-school instruction in 2022, if it can be managed safely. Our statement: https://t.co/98JffLlgtJ
ONTARIO PARENTS: In light of my most recent risk assessment (next tweet) and Government testing changes, are you sending your child back to school for in-person learning on January 5th?
EDUCATORS and LIBRARIANS: do your students like graphic novels?
I’m giving away 2 class sets (25 copies each) of my new one, The Hunger Heroes: Missed Meal Mayhem (here and on Instagram)!
