2/2 - out of Blender were 10x faster than C4D. There has been minimal quality sacrifices but honestly that can be made up in skill development. At the end of the day, it's has been about render times and the constant push from clients to do things faster and cheaper. @MaxonVFX
Seeing lots of 3D artists, and motion designers in general switching from C4D to Blender, my experience - it rapidly became clear how much faster we could produce a creative in Blender than from C4D. Even putting skill sets aside, rendering and animating certain environments..1/2
@Oddernod Unfortunately the next money grab is going to be Corps with massive IP and creative data will use that to create custom AI models to make content at a fraction of the production cost. Even more unfortunately, they will likely also be a fraction of the quality and magic too.
@jdreeves I wouldn't consider that being grumpy but holding younger generations to a certain standard. Because in reality, you care about their progression and the craftmanship of visual design. Iron sharpens iron as a friend sharpens a friend.
@Oddernod Thanks for sharing Ryan! I used to just use After effects straight up, but now I refuse to work without a tool that streamlines animation. Currently I use Motion 4 but I'm starting to see it's limitations too. I'll check this out.
