@arghavan_salles 4 days off out of 28 days of twelve+ hour shifts is the answer, right? Sarcasm aside, changing the system to allow more time off. Minds & hearts need time away vs adding something that may extend the shift & the mental load.

Mental health stigma be like “it’s ok to not be ok” but make sure it’s on your time off and it doesn’t affect your productivity and you really make up for the inconvenience it created for others and…
Setting healthy boundaries is not limited to saying No.
It also includes saying Yes when someone offers you a helping hand.
Don’t let your guilt tell you otherwise.

Emergency medicine has lost 2 bright lights to suicide this week. Physicians continue to die by suicide at twice the rate of the general population. There is enormous pressure, still, to “suck it up”. Licensure problems for those who seek help. No more. Time for a change.
