Reminder if you have Down’s syndrome you aren’t required to be sweet, kind, smiling, wholesome, and gentle to be a valuable human being worthy of existing. You’re allowed to be an asshole like everyone else. The price for your life isn’t being a constant ray of sunshine. I love all the stories of these wonderful humans living well and blessing others while having Down’s syndrome. I just want to remind folks that being easy to deal with isn’t required to be worthy of your own life. It’s not like *oh that one is fine they’re so cute*. You could be a total butthole and honestly same you’re just like everyone else. You get to be unpleasant. No one is always a quaint delight. Be a prick and you still get to *live*.
I totally get why people say they would only consider abortion if the baby had a diagnosis that would cause the child not to live long after birth. I can understand it.
But I don't think I could ever do that.
To me the choice is, either the baby dies being held in my loving arms, or by having theirs torn off by forceps.
@joshuatheard@PolitiBunny Everyone becomes disabled at some point in their lives, usually near the end. Good luck when it happens to you, Joshua. Because it will.
This is outstanding. Good for @FLOTUS. They raided her MAL suite and her son’s bedroom under the guise of looking for government papers. Then the
FBI staged a “classified documents” photo op to make it look like Trump stole secret files.
She showed remarkable restraint IMO.
