The Office of Government Efficiency is off to a great start with split leadership: two people to do the work of one person.
Yeah, this seems REALLY efficient.
You still have your family.
You still have your friends.
You still have your work.
You still have your passions.
You still have your diversions.
You still have the capacity to feel joy, and the means of doing so.
You still have your mind, which is and will always be yours alone.
And you still have the ability, no matter how difficult it may seem, to choose to carry on with your life, and spend the one and only existence you will get for all eternity in as loving, fulfilling, and authentic a way as you possibly can.
well, since we've effed ourselves anyway, maybe Biden should resign and give us our first Black, Indian and female president for a few weeks just for fun. #HarrisWalz2024
people who say "well trump was president in 2016 you'll live 🤓" do not realize tens of thousands of people died because he downplayed a pandemic and women today are dying because of the 3 supreme court justices he appointed
please keep the “we survived him once, we will do it again” tweets in the drafts or better yet delete them. millions of people did not in fact survive him, and millions more will not survive him again.
Our nation’s democratic system functioned last night and we have a new President-elect. All Americans are bound, whether we like the outcome or not, to accept the results of our elections. We now have a special responsibility, as citizens of the greatest nation on earth, to do everything we can to support and defend our Constitution, preserve the rule of law, and ensure that our institutions hold over these coming four years. Citizens across this country, our courts, members of the press and those serving in our federal, state and local governments must now be the guardrails of democracy.
Six years ago today, I captured one of my favorite aerial fall shots: Riverview Park in #Pittsburgh, with downtown in the background. The vivid fall colors surrounding the Allegheny Observatory make this view unforgettable.
What will we know for sure on Election Night?
By midnight, we should have all e-day votes tabulated and an overall tally of how many people voted in Montco. We should also have a tabulation of the first 100K or so out of 160-170K mail-in ballots.
Given that most mail-in votes are from Democratic voters, it’s expected that Kamala Harris will be doing her best when partial mail-in results are posted at 8:30PM. Donald Trump would likely be doing his best around midnight when all election day results come in. And Kamala Harris will likely make up ground as mail-ins continue to be counted into the morning.
If Trump declares premature victory – he’s not known to respect election results – it might happen late tonight. Tell him to let us finish counting :). If it's very close -- we may not know for certain -- for weeks! (Let's hope for a more decisive night).
I think peak 2024 is people telling me that KAMALA BUSED IN SUPPORTERS WAKE UP SHEEPLE. So look: People parked at Kennywood, where there is lots of parking in the off-season, and the campaign drove them in charter buses to the Carrie Furnaces site, which has little parking.
@RyanDeto@mgswift7 I was there and everybody was so normal and nice. Nobody cosplaying or wearing garbage bags, flag capes or crazy attention-seeking getups. No seething anger, drama and moral decay. The crowd looked like all of us.
The best of Pittsburgh is with Harris.
The Harris Campaign said that 15,000 people attended the Pittsburgh rally. @mgswift7 has the video of the crowd stretched across the large site of a former steel facility
