(1/2) Trafficking is possible because of two main actors within the industry: the trafficker and the buyer. First, traffickers and pimps find victims through social media, home neighborhoods, clubs and bars, the internet, and school.

(2/) They then kidnap, force or lure in victims with promises of protection, love, adventure, &opportunity, exploiting victims to earn money. Buyers fuel the market for trafficking with their demand for services. Both of these actors allow this industry of exploitation to thrive.
