@StudyMaths My Y6 son has asked me to show him how the long division process works with manipulatives. He’s frustrated that he can’t see it the way he can “see” long multiplication. I have an idea using a place value chart and counters but feel it could be better!

@ModernCassie@C_Hendrick My son is starting Y7 at a no smartphone school. No problem with that. But they are allowed Nokias. And also have daily online homework. The messaging to parents is messy - talks about Fortnite, GTA, beheading videos as if they are all the same thing and all accessed on phones
@StudyMaths I’m thinking that there might be an opportunity here to use my larger-than-it-needs-to-be dice collection but not sure how to change the numbers in the table if the numbers on the dice are higher…..
@StudyMaths I know! There’s lot a you could say about the KS2 curriculum and SATs but I do think if you can go into Y7 feeling confident with these arithmetic and reasoning questions it’s got to be a good start
