It’s Mental Health Awareness Day, but I’m not going to bother using the #.
It’s not awareness we need.
It’s more funding, more support & more kindness.
A # doesnt prevent suicides & suffering. Adequate MH services, inpatient beds & waiting times do.
Where’s the # for that day?
Hi #ISTC20#Sesh6!
This is a story of #Portugal’s most important #wetland, the Tagus #estuary, & the planned #airport threatening its birds.
For background on site & airport, see @GrahamFAppleton here https://t.co/QsSfPSuhya
Today we'll focus on wintering Black-tailed Godwits.
1/6 #ISTC20#Sesh3
The UK breeding population of black-tailed godwit is mainly confined to two sites in the Fens in E England. Numbers are critically small and were declining due to flooding and predation

High tide covering the causeway at Lindisfarne mid-afternoon. Goodly number of Light-bellied Brent, Curlew, Eider, etc on near shore, though zoom on iPhone camera insufficient to show the evidence. Also 52 Barnies arriving on high from north. Bliss!
