@ErinforBoston This is a fine concept but why focus on just Newmarket? Businesses in Nubian Square are just as impacted, and arguably more so. Same with South End/Lower Roxbury.
Yesterday we announced 2 new strategies to make Boston the country’s leading #GreenNewDeal city:
1. Adopting a new green building code
2. A Green Energy Retrofits Program
Here’s what this means for you 🧵1/6
@CoachPalmer3@gpimaynard @CommonWealthMag Yeah, but if there’s a Republican primary they vote in that instead, which actually makes a huge difference. Even if not competitive for one office, it matters for all others.
@vortensis@elonmusk What’s the bright line, though? If I see him, pull out my phone, and tweet a photo, is that “real time”? It’s not a clear standard.
@pdmt99@blackjew “At this festive season of the year, Mr. Scrooge, it is more than usually desirable that we should make some slight provision for the Poor and Destitute, who suffer greatly at the present time. Many thousands are in want of common necessaries…”
@RaviSimonSays Had anyone bothered to challenge it I expect it would have lost. But there is zero organized opposition, seemingly. Still, I’m skeptical as well.
@espiers Here’s my pet peeve with these emails too: lots of them are negative, “we’re doomed” type shit. The result is not helpful for campaign messaging.
@Kristenrjohns1 @wutrain @NatalieOrnell @NotoriousVOG@CityOfBoston@BOS311@BOSCityCouncil@ErinforBoston @mfflaherty I’m not aware of any of the councilors having separate official accounts vs campaign ones (all do things like fundraise, which is also illegal from government accounts). I believe the @BOSCityCouncil account, run by central staff, is the only official one.
