Congress must understand that a failure to hold Clarence Thomas accountable sends a loud, dangerous signal to the full Court - Kavanaugh, Barrett, & the rest - that his acts are fair game.
This is a tipping point. Inaction is a decision to erode and further delegitimize SCOTUS.
Clarence Thomas should resign.
If not, his failure to disclose income from right-wing organizations, recuse himself from matters involving his wife, and his vote to block the Jan 6th commission from key information must be investigated and could serve as grounds for impeachment.
Wife told me she'd been "really getting into animal security camera videos" recently and I had her show me one to see what she meant. You'll need sound:
When I was accepted to an internship at the Obama White House, I debated whether to accept. I was worried I wasn't qualified enough, was going to be homesick, couldn't hack it. I was talking to my uncle and he said, "Hannah, if you don't take this opportunity, I'll throttle you."
His absolute anger at the possibility of me saying no always stuck with me. It pushed me to say yes, and that opportunity changed my life in so many ways. Now, it's the energy I bring when my friends start to doubt themselves or are convinced someone else can do it better.
Still thinking about people saying Republicans would “take it easy” on this nomination because they’d already stolen the court.
Which was always ludicrous because it’s the GOP, you can always steal more power, and this is a perfect opportunity to weaponize more racist misogyny.
