@kamilaofprague This is the reality for us that work in #ELT and I would love to see change. I know that @SLBCoop have recently done a great podcast on this very subject about the “precarity” of our work as freelancers. It’s worth listening to if you have time.

@HeleneCombe I see, I guess it’s a conservative viewpoint. My wife’s mother isn’t altogether happy with me doing further studies. She sees it as a waste of money!

@KatSidaway @HeleneCombe It is a tiring job but depends on where, who and the type of ELT you teach I think. I generally find one on ones much easier but group classes for all levels can be quite draining. However I do love what I do 😊

@DeclanGCarey Yep I feel like that with Slovak. I work in Austria now so hear German all day, every day! Last night I bumped into a Slovak girl at the language centre I teach in. We talked for a good 10 minutes before she realized I am from the UK ✊😆 well proud!
