ExpressVPN, @torproject, Tuta, Mozilla, @EFF and Mullvad, alongside 13 other organizations advocating for digital privacy rights, have published an open letter.

In the letter, they express serious concerns regarding the age verification measures planned for implementation across the internet following the introduction of a new child protection law.

The organizations argue that forcing users to prove their age across most websites and online services could severely undermine privacy, anonymity, and the open nature of the internet.

The central message of the letter is that protecting children should not come at the cost of jeopardizing the freedom, security, and privacy of all internet users. The signatories are calling for more balanced, privacy preserving solutions to be developed instead.

This is not a bug but a deliberate feature of our financial system, which eerily closely resembles that designed by Hjalmar Schacht – the former finance minister of Nazi Germany.

According to Schacht, money did not need real world backing but could be governed by state enforcement.

This allowed for total control of the economy: banks, corporations, and individuals who disobeyed the party line could simply have their money devalued without immediate consequences for the rest of society.

Political reputation became your credit score while all forms of exchange were controlled by the state, enabling the Nazis to destroy entire livelihoods by cutting dissidents off from the financial system completely.

We always talk about the need for financial reform, but never about the fact the financial system we live under today is one that has its origins in the literal antithesis to democracy – and it is still being used for these purposes today.

For everyone wondering how Jack Maller’s could get debanked: banks are required to run routine AML/CFT risk assessments on their clients.

Recently, these systems have gotten an upgrade that includes using AI to scan social media. It’s likely that when Jack called Dimon “Jeffrey Epstein’s Banker,” the systems threw a flag.

It’s also likely that Jamie Dimon doesn’t particularly like banking someone who calls him that.

JPM is currently facing a major public relations crisis over newly revealed documents that show just how far exactly the bank’s coverup of Epstein’s finances went.

And AML/CTF laws give them the perfect cover to debank anyone who calls them out for it.

Disclosing why someone was debanked is a federal crime under the current AML/CTF regime, creating laws that create plausible deniability for the debanking of anyone the bank may not like.

We’ll likely never find out why Mallers was debanked.

But this stuff will not stop until we get rid of laws like the Bank Secrecy Act that enable this behavior.

Israeli-Aligned Billionaires Seize TikTok in Battle for U.S. Narrative Control

The White House has announced that the forced sale of TikTok will be finalized this week. The new ownership led by Larry Ellison - the largest individual donor to the IDF - will take control of U.S. user data and the algorithm which the White House says will be "retrained".

Ellison, who made his fortune developing Oracle - a database system he originally built for the CIA - already controls CBS, Paramount, MTV, Comedy Central, Showtime, Nickelodeon (which makes kids shows) as well as Channel 10 in Australia and Channel 5 in the UK. Ellison is also expected to finalize control over Warner Bros. Discovery (including CNN, HBO and the Discovery channel) before the end of 2025.

Even before the forced sale is finalised, censorship of TikTok content critical of Israel, including of the deal itself, has reached extreme levels as the platform moves to align with its prospective new owners. Fox – a Murdoch asset - is also seeking to join the Ellison consortium, a move that could enable cross-promotion between Fox and TikTok, further tightening the Israeli-aligned information bubble.

Disapproval of what Israel is doing in Gaza has risen to 60% of the US population, nearly double the approval rate of 32%.

The U.S. still has over three years of Trump left. Israeli-aligned Jewish billionaires control OpenAI, Google, Meta/Facebook/Instagram/WhatsApp, Palantir, CBS, HBO, and most of Conde Nast (Reddit, Vogue, The New Yorker, Wired, GQ, Vanity Fair) as well as numerous Hollywood studios, regional papers and radio stations.

Europe, meanwhile, remains largely absent, offering little real competition in the information space. Its one real success story? Telegram, which it managed to comprehensively alienate after France arrested its founder, supposedly for not handing over enough user data.

Will the EU and other U.S. allies align with the “Israelified” TikTok algorithm, or attempt to create a politicised alternative of their own?

Larger platforms like Telegram and Rednote carry serious risks of censorship, including eventual sell-off to other interests. For users the sweet spot may be to use both. One for political reliability, the others for a (politically temporary) audience.
