Open Letter to the President of the United States and His Administration
As Mayor of Kommune Kujalleq – the region of Greenland where the majority of the country’s rare earth elements and strategic minerals are located – I feel a clear responsibility to speak plainly and without reservation.
Greenland’s subsoil is not for sale through political pressure, dismissive rhetoric, or a lack of respect. Period.
The interest shown by you and your administration in Greenland’s resources carries obligations – not only legal, but moral and political. When Greenland, our institutions, our allies, and our people are spoken of with disregard, trust is eroded. And without trust, there is no access. Not a single gram.
As mayor, I will never accept that the citizens of my municipality should feel unsafe or uncertain about what is taking place in their own backyard – politically, economically, or in terms of security. Our land and our communities are not pieces on a great-power chessboard.
Greenland has some of the strongest and most responsible mineral resource legislation in the Nordic region. These laws exist to protect people, nature, and future generations. They will be enforced in full – regardless of who seeks to operate in Greenland, and regardless of the size or power of the nation involved. They are not subject to negotiation.
The Greenlandic people hold authority over their land and their resources. And if there is one thing your administration currently lacks in this matter, it is respect: respect for our democracy, respect for our legislation, respect for our allies, and respect for our people.
Jobs and promises of increased revenue can never be used as currency to bypass the law or the will of the people. If mining activities are not carried out in full compliance with Greenlandic law and with genuine respect for the population, there will be no mining. It is that simple.
Not a single gram of Greenland’s minerals will be extracted without order, respect, and responsibility.
Sincerely,
Malene Vahl Rasmussen
Mayor – Kommune Kujalleq – Greenland

🏆🏆Brilliant take down … from the real Miss Piggy
Dearest Donald,
It is moi, Miss Piggy, and I am writing because you have committed a sin so grotesque, so tasteless, so fundamentally idiotic that even the Muppet chickens gasped. You called a reporter—an intelligent, courageous, unflinching professional—“piggy.”
Let’s pause, darling.
Let’s breathe.
Let’s let the stupidity of that choice settle into the air like the unmistakable scent of a bargain-bin cologne worn by a man who thinks intimidation is a personality.
You were asked about the Epstein files. A serious question. A necessary question. A question every decent human with a pulse should want answered. And instead of behaving like anything resembling an adult, you snapped. You barked. You lashed out like a startled sewer rat cornered under a bridge with too much hairspray and not enough self-control.
You didn’t insult her.
You exposed yourself.
She stood there in the truth.
You stood there in panic.
She held the line.
You lost your mind.
And then—mon dieu—you invoked moi.
You said “piggy.”
At a woman who was doing her job with more professionalism in one sentence than you have shown in your entire, overcooked, chaotic lifetime.
There is ONE Piggy.
ONE.
And she does not answer to you.
I built that name with talent, beauty, star power, and a legendary karate chop feared by icons and monsters alike. You? You hurl it as an insult because a woman dared to speak to you without bowing first. How fragile you must be to crumble under the weight of a question delivered by someone infinitely stronger than you have ever been.
That reporter showed courage. She showed integrity. She showed the world what a real professional looks like. Meanwhile, you flailed like a collapsing parade float struggling to stay inflated. You weren’t “fighting back.” You weren’t “being tough.” You were simply terrified. Terrified of a woman, a microphone, and the truth you keep trying to stuff into a closet full of your old scandals.
Calling her “piggy” didn’t diminish her. It diminished you.
It made you look cheap.
It made you look weak.
It made you look like a coward thrashing in quicksand of your own making.
And let’s be clear: A man who calls a woman “piggy” because he cannot withstand a factual question is not strong. He is not clever. He is not bold.
He is a big, loud, pathetic problem. A problem the size of a collapsing casino.
A problem wrapped in insecurity, hairspray, and whatever the hell those suits are made of—polyester? denial? both?
So here is your final lesson from moi:
The reporter you tried to belittle stands taller today than you ever have.
She asked for truth.
You served up fear.
She did her job.
You embarrassed yourself.
She kept her dignity.
You lost yours somewhere between the plane door and your next tantrum.
My name is not your shield.
My title is not your insult.
You are not worthy to utter the word “Piggy” unless you are referring to your own reflection.
Consider this your warning, your education, and your verbal karate chop to the soul:
Do not use my name to attack a woman who is braver than you.
Do not weaponize my legacy to mask your cowardice.
And do not mistake your insecurity for strength.
You wanted to shame her.
Instead, you shamed yourself.
Furiously, fabulously, and forever out of your league,
Miss. Piggy
UPDATED SEC v. RIPPLE TIMELINE
With the announcement by @s_alderoty, you better believe the paperwork has been drawn up already.
Now we wait on a vote by SEC Commission (less than 30 days).
Then we wait on filing by SEC to lift injunction, which will be unopposed by @Ripple. Judge Torres will sign off on it (less than 30 days from motion filing).
At most we are 60 days out from this being 100%, formally, legally, and spectacularly over.
🚨JUST IN: @Ripple has agreed to drop its appeal against the @SECGov and pay $50M of the originally ordered $125M fine. The SEC will also ask Judge Torres to lift the ‘obey the law’ injunction she imposed on Ripple in addition to the fine.
Once all of this has been voted on by the Commission, and the court documents are in order, the @SECGov vs. @Ripple case will be over once and for all.
The final crossing of t’s and dotting of i’s – and what should be my last update on SEC v Ripple ever…
Last week, the SEC agreed to drop its appeal without conditions. @Ripple has now agreed to drop its cross-appeal. The SEC will keep $50M of the $125M fine (already in an interest-bearing escrow in cash), with the balance returned to Ripple. The agency will also ask the Court to lift the standard injunction that was imposed earlier at the SEC’s request. All subject to Commission vote, drafting of final documents and usual court processes.
That’s all folks!
@attorneyjeremy1 Thank you for everything, Sir! Your professional remarks, many times enlightenment and entertainig comments will definitely be very missed!!
Today, Ripple moves forward—stronger than ever. This landmark case set a precedent for the domestic crypto industry.
With the SEC dropping its appeal, Ripple is now in the driver's seat and we’ll evaluate how best to pursue our cross appeal. Regardless, today is a day to celebrate this victory.
This is it – the moment we’ve been waiting for. The SEC will drop its appeal – a resounding victory for Ripple, for crypto, every way you look at it.
The future is bright. Let's build.
If you are an XRP holder, please be kind to the BTC guys!
BTC was founded on the libertarian ideal of self-custody, immunity from deflation, control, and other shenanigans (which is why I was drawn to it). So, the last few years of big-money control, and now government/political involvement! If you are intellectually honest, it's incompatible with the whole ideal that BTC represents - and that is hard to come to terms with.
XRP, on the other hand, has always been about integration into the mainstream economic system. So, no soul-searching has been necessary.
Something in Eleanor's post caught my attention:
"...case is in the process of wrapping up and could be over soon."
The only way the case could "be over" soon is if Ripple and the SEC reach a private settlement agreement (which would vary from the judgment), dismiss the appeal, and then simply never take the terms of the settlement agreement back to the trial court to be ratified.
This is possible but, assuming the injunction is the sticking point, the SEC would have to agree not to enforce the Court's injunction. I have a hard time believing the SEC would agree to THAT, but possibly it could agree to something more oblique such as providing Ripple a path to actually register sales of XRP to institutional investors (for example). Meaning, Ripple could get what it needs, while the SEC doesn't blatantly snub the Court's order. Meaning, t can be done.
This is the only way I can see the case resolving anytime in the next couple days or weeks which would apparently be consistent with what she is reporting: SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT.
(Warning: only read on if you want to hear me ramble.)
🇺🇸 $7 Trillion US Debt is the reason
Why Trump Wants Stocks market to
Crash hard.
His playbook : Crash Stocks, Pump
Bond market and Force Rate Cuts.
Let me explain -
The US government has to refinance
$7 trillion of debt in the next 6 months.
There is no way TRUMP wants to
refinance it at current 10-yr yields
so this is why he wants stock market
tocrash pump the bond prices.
As bond prices will go up, yields will
come down and the US government
will be able to refinance their debt at
cheap rate. Not only that, lower bond
yields will also push the fed to do rate
cuts which is bullish for risk-on assets.
Don’t panic over the short term and
look at the longer picture. Bull market
is not over, mega pump is still coming.
@grind_late You think something potentially could happen early/mid summer? So far, this "bull run" (if we can even call it that) has been extremely disappointing! 😞 Most coins didn't even teach their ATH! 😭
