I thought that Google will lose interest in Kotlin Multiplatform after they won in the Oracle's lawsuit. However, the recent announcements of KMP support in ViewModel and Room suggest that I might've been wrong.
Is KMP the future of mobile development?

Giving Compose for iOS a try. Very promising but build/deploy cycle on iOS is currently too long to be practical. Develop on Android and validate on iOS should be feasible

Not sure if I publically said this before, but kotlinx.coroutines.* is seriously cool; I don't see any reason whatsoever why anyone would use any other library (such as RxJava) than this for async/reactive programming.

Gave Android 12L a run on my old Pixel C while waiting for the Google tablet scheduled for next year. Very promising, but doesn't go as far as Dex-mode from Samsung. I guess 'full' desktop mode will stay reserved for ChromeOS

The onboarding experience using KMM has room for improvement (and also why recommend starting off with some sample etc)

But, once you have setup up and running, I do find it really impressive how quickly new functionality can be added to shared code and consumed on iOS & Android

For now, it only affects a small number of artifacts, but that's just the beginning. 👀 👀 👀

Patched the streaming clients from @streamz_be and @disneyplus so that can watch at least sd content on my beloved pixel c tablet, #apktool to the rescue
