At this weeks #si401 session with Anna Logan it was very interesting to examine the language used to describe ISA internationally. I never considered the affects of the languaged used on the person and their role.

At last week #si401 lecture with @fiona_king_ we learnt how to persuade and approach stake holder at schools with our ideas and knowledge. I believe that this specialism module and the knowledge that I have gain will benifit me when communicating with stakeholders as an NQT.

@EimearDaly4 @fiona_king_ I complete agree Eimear. That statement really stood out for me too. It made me think that even when change is slow on a system level, that we are still making a difference on the children's lives.

In our previous #si401 lecture with @fiona_king_ we discussed the role of different stakeholders with regards to change, and how we can use them to implument change in a school. I look forward to bringing the information from this lecture with me when I qualify as an NQT.

During our lecture last week #si401 the topic of BEd4 students being unclouded (King et al., 2012) ...we are enthusiastic and possibly naive. There will be a lot thrown at us as NQTs and reality can become clouded but it is clear we are excited to become leaders of the classroom.

I found our last #si401 lecture to be engaging. We examined passed experiences on school placement where there was an equity challenge in the classroom. I really enjoyed how as a class we shared and collaborated to discuss ways to resolve the inequity. @fiona_king_

From attending the LAI conference as part of the #si401 module I have gained new knowledge. I found it really helpful and engaging. It gave me a new perspective on EAL and literacy as whole. I am really excited to implument my new learning when I am out as as n NQT.

In the last #si401 lecture I had the pleasure of collaborating with other members of the specialism to create a lesson plan for a particular class. Through that experience I learned how to differentiation for different children and different needs. This will benifit me as a NQT

We had the wonderful oppurtunity of putting inclusion into practice as we created and presented lesson plans based on specific class profiles to their class teachers. The experience of sharing and listening to each others inclusive practice was insightful. #si401 @fiona_king_

In the last #si401 session each group presented a lesson plan based of a class profile. This was a great opportunity for our class to share our ideas with each other. From this I learned new ways of creating inclusion in the classroom and great lesson ideas.
