I enjoyed having such an open discussion about inclusion in today's lecture. @fiona_king_ made an interesting point in explaining that teachers must focus on understanding instead of coverage of curriculum content. We must remember that quality is better than quantity! #si401

Our assessment for this module was to create a lesson plan for a given class with a range of abilities.I found this beneficial as it opened my eyes to the importance of differentiation,not only for those who need additional support but also for high achievers.#si401 @fiona_king_

The ‘Ready,fire,aim’ approach involves taking risks and adapting results afterwards. I've never used this approach as I like to plan before making changes; however, I now realise that this approach encourages us to move out of our comfort zones and take risks.@Fiona_king_ #si401

I am also delighted that change can start from the bottom-up. Prior to this lecture, I was of the impression that NQT's didn't have opportunities to implement change in a school setting, however, that's not the case! I now feel that I could implement changes, if needed. #si401

In our 3rd lecture, I learned that change can be daunting for many teachers. @fiona_king_ highlighted this effectively through the use of traffic lights. I was alarmed to see that only 20% of teachers would be happy to implement change straight away. #si401 #change #MovingForward
