My Dad sold his house about 6 months ago - sadly the new owners uglified the place as soon as possible - 20 yrs ago the front gardens were full of hedgehogs, now displaced by roadhogs. Let's hope their kids benefit more from a gravel carpark than a pond full of amphibians.
@Feminae_Vincere@monaromel@mralexthomas I'm far too soft to sharpen teeth on. Try somewhere like @DevonGardenMach. I bought a file to sharpen my chainsaw there recently. Incidentally, the Gardener saw me struggling to carry it, so he carried me to my car, cleaned my windscreen and waved me off!
@G0ldenStandard@RedbridgeLive@liamtuffs1@PlanningShit where do you stand on developers/architects creating communal areas in for rent properties (if indeed they actually are)?
An afront to architecture or utterly irrelevant to anyone other than the people who choose to rent them?
@paulpowlesland@JeskaHarrington@shivmalik Surely focusing on only some native species is the antithesis of biodiversity - which whilst extremely important is not the only consideration in a "forest city". Place making, resilience and ecosystem services are equally important in urban forests.
@BGatesIsaPyscho Have you seen what they've done with the snooker on TV? Did you have a smart phone or unlimited access to data back then? Human advancement & technology are amazing. Rather than just being scared, people should demand cheaper green energy (as cruel as that is to the oligarchs ๐ฅ)
@Markmaycott2 The impact 76 had on people proves how alarming climate change is. It was a once in a hundred years event. Old or young, no one had experienced anything like it (it was remarkable). Now they're once in 4 years. Fortunately road construction has improved since.
@RobNoLastName@GuillermElodie My Mum's from Deal. There were a few boats fishing in the 1980s but industry pretty much collapsed with the herring stocks. The coal mine closing had the biggest impact on the local economy for generations. Far more affluent town now than it used to be
It's been a great end to the 4th European i-Tree conference, having a tour of Dundee's treescape this morning. Incredible bravery from the Dundee Ranger taking us on a tree walk round Baxter Park with Tony Kirkham & Keith Sacre amongst the attendees.
There seem to be multiple scammers who are aware @bookingcom 's shocking customer services means they can reach out to their countless frustrated customers, knowing @bookingcom will fail to make contact, giving people the impression they're genuine.
@bookingcom I arrived at my hotel to be told by the next door neighbour that it has been closed down for 6 months (since the owner died). She has been letting people who booked through https://t.co/isVYONGAWa know this throughout the 6 months.
I was shouted at by your customer 1/
@LindaNolan__ You've been promising a quick response since Saturday, yet when I DM or email I'm ignored. It's even more frustrating than you standing by the lie you've been in contact with a dead man who you are continuing to blame for a @bookingcom mistake.

@bookingcom Yes you've just blamed the dead owner again, despite having been aware the property has been closed for some time.
You've also asked me to resend an invoice you've already received.
How can your customer service be so broken? Is it a deliberate ploy to avoid refunding me?
@bookingcom Could you explain why you're still trying to lay the blame at the door of somebody who has been dead for 6 months (something you have clearly known for some time)?
Any idea when I'll receive this prompt response or when I can expect this matter to be resolved?
(his being dead obviously makes that impossible). I cannot reply to the email as it generates an automated response saying it's not in use (very strange as that very email has contacted me twice). Your customer service is shockingly poor.
I feel a phone call, a sincere 3/
