day 117 of building in public
mrr: $3k
goal: $10k
i made all this money WITHOUT:
- 0 backlinks
- 0 fb/google ads
- 0 tiktok videos
- 0 paid influencers
- 0 audience
all of this comes from SEO, reddit posts and a tiny producthunt launch.
i never supported spending $5k/mo on backlinks or ads. i strongly believe that we're proving to the world that you can make it with just a website and a few articles
this MRR comes 80% just from SEO
imagine where we can get from here :)
Thinking out loud:
I'm trying to monetize TrustMRR beyond just using ads.
The platform has $1.2 billion of verified startup revenue, and processes $500,000 worth of transactions per day.
There might be value somewhere for someone? Meeting a cofounder, posting job offers, showcasing emerging startups, etc.
I'm struggling because I don't know which feature to build, so I created a paywall and will let the market decide. After the checkout, customers can request features, and I'll build them.
Suggestions are welcome!

i’ve watched SaaS retention graphs change overnight when teams surface actual progress instead of hiding it 6 clicks deep
people want that tiny signal they’re headed in the right direction
because when a product feels like it’s cheering you on, people want to come back.

No wonder these Apps make $100k+
The world is full of gooners and degens
People are more enticed to quit something than to start something..
- Quit Corn
- Quit Vape
- Quit Smoking
- Quit Coffee
- Quit Doom-Scrolling
Build a quit app with rork(.)com in 48 hours literally from your phone.
Then promote it using:
-Reddit communities
-Influencer Marketing
-And UGC ads
Copy the top performing onboarding
And make a solid app loop
I did this myself and hit the
#200 charts with my app
why is nobody else doing this?

One of my biggest payouts yet.
Finally crossed $1,000 in creator revenue.
10 months ago I had no audience.
Now I get paid for posting.
Still feels wild.
I can't believe I'm going to put you on to one of our most viral content formats...
This viral format has generated 150M+ views and millions of downloads for consumer apps.
Works for ANY consumer app niche...
And it works on TikTok, IG, Shorts, and even Snapchat.
(see pics for context)
Viral Content Format:
- Long text: Create a short story that keeps the viewer reading so the video can replay multiple times. The more shocking, the more emotion, the more controversial, the better. Full wall of text. This strategy hooks the viewers in and increases watch time.
- Content: Have the creator pan to another person/thing or have the creator express a strong negative reaction (crying, disbelief, frustration) to put context behind the story. We don't even have the creators speak in these videos.
- Description: Subtly hint the app in the description but in context with the storyline of the video. The more the description looks like a suggestion, the more effective it will be.
- Audio: Put an audio that is trending, but matches the same tone of the story.
- Length: We tend to keep this format pretty short at 5-10 seconds long. Long enough to for the viewer to get context and stay hooks, but short enough so that the viewer watches the video 2-3x while reading the wall of text.
*CAVEAT*: Always test/tweak messaging and angles for maximum virality. Don't just copy-paste formats and expect them to rip.
