Excited to share the fruits of labour during my postdoc with @drstephieb - in collab with @Ciaran_MR @stressynomics Grant Gordon
We find that an obesogenic diet induces a cascade of alterations in astrocytes/neurons - impairing plasticity in the OFC

Just out! “The astrocytic ensemble acts as a multiday trace to stabilize memory.” We identified astrocytic ensembles that link experiences across days to stabilize memory https://t.co/po9zIlZvPb. New astrocyte tools are openly available at Addgene: https://t.co/OXCmcYSleI. 1/8
What is the nature of sensory prediction error signals in the neocortex?
Our research published in @Nature reveals that these error signals are amplified responses to unexpected inputs, mediated by a cooperative thalamocortical circuit mechanism! 1/4

Very happy to share our latest work from the @SolteszLab co-led w/ @EHwaun now online at @Nature. We take a deep dive into a neural activity pattern known as the hippocampal "dentate spike" and its role in cognition. https://t.co/tNhtK2ObqE
Hypothalamic CRH neurons remember the good and the bad … and they do it their own way! Amazing persistence by Tamás Füzesi and great teamwork. Also a huge thanks to Wilten Nicola! https://t.co/Bz0btqCwDZ
Story finally out ⭐️ We found that hypothalamic oxytocin cells in maternal mice receive inputs from the auditory thalamus, increase their activity following distress pup vocalizations to release central oxytocin and modulate behavior

Endocannabinoids are powerful synaptic modulators, but there's so much we don't know about how they signal. Here we show that *postsynaptic synucleins* are required!
Shoutout @YueSunNeuro, @yulonglilab, @SudhofThomas, @BJunDing and the rest of the team!

@Ciaran_MR @AdedipeIfe@Holt_LewisRhys Hey guys, congrats on the lab’s first paper. It’s nice to see in the modern day that there’s still a few peeps willing to do the long and tough LTP experiments!
Our paper is out!

With genetic Ca2+ clamping and chemogenetic activation of astrocytes, we show that astrocytes enhance neurovascular coupling when neuronal activation is sustained but not when activation is brief.
@lauren_seabrook @drstephieb @NatureNeuro Hi @lauren_seabrook , @LindsayNaef and @drstephieb , massive congrats on finally getting this out! I know how much work went into this, so very well deserved. It was the greatest pleasure to have shared most of my time in the lab with all of you ❤️
@KarinAubrey @SfNJournals@SfNtweets@KollingINST I'm the only one of the authors with Twitter, so I'll have to speak on the others behalf. Thanks for the kind mention Kaz! It's much appreciated.
Happy to share our latest study from the @BJunDing lab recently published in @NeuroCellPress! We show that motor learning selectively induces synaptic plasticity at inputs and outputs of behavior-relevant neurons in motor cortex.

Our study on ketamin's addiction liability just went online

Kudos to @lindasimmler and @YueLi73760302, co-first authors for an exemplary collaboration!
