As someone who has drilled more deep gas wells than most in the industry and is currently exploiting the Eagle Ford shale deep gas window (very economically) I can share data that refutes Matt’s statement that deep wells are more expensive (on a unit of gas basis). You can also see the data here. This is not unique

As an operator and LNG exporter (Caturus) I couldn’t disagree more with Matt’s view. Knowledge of “major known shale plays is mature”, is incorrect and the depth of the identified resources is massive. Irrespective of the inventory in Appalachia, Haynesville, Eagle ford, Permian etc, the Rockies have considerable undeveloped resource, not to mention new deeper plays. While the U.S. is going to see considerable demand growth (LNG and Power) the industry has consistently met the demand while lowering costs on an inflation adjusted basis. Happy to debate Matt in person or voice the counter view.
The Commonwealth LNG project is another major milestone for American LNG production, all possible thanks to President Trump!
This was the first project approval after @POTUS ended Biden's reckless freeze on LNG permits—reinforcing America’s leadership in LNG exports.
@Kevin__Rawley@WAR527 Happy to schedule a call to walk through Doug, Carrie and Kate’s histories. Not sure which companies you are referring to that went bankrupt or how they are “friendly” to Kimmeridge. They would also be a minority on the board.
