@brecht_dp It seems like the language of the story was just inscrutable and coy (and frankly super weird) enough to make the reader feel like they must be reading something super important and deep.
@shreyasnsharma@nabeelqu@gleech@GrantaMag Kind of agree. My experience with AI is that when it comes to fiction, it writes like a fourth grader. I’m not saying the samples I read were amazing—though maybe it’s ai assisted.
So instead of automatically transferring the entire balance, Venmo now grants us the privilege of being annoyed as we type out exactly how much we’d like to transfer. Because of course I’d rather just keep that extra 5 bucks in the coffer. Just in case #venmo#dumbthings
@erikkain@Forbes I feel like the story is splitting off into s bunch of random, inorganic (as you put it) directions at this point. Reminds me a little of the manner in which “Lost” began to fall apart.
