We seeded @UnionForage's Double Down blend Spring of 2020. It grew, we grazed, we grazed & grazed it (yrlings, cull cows, a group of pairs before breeding season). We cut and baled a chunk of it for green feed and we grazed it again until the end of August.

@ediecreekangus If grazing don't delay, I would get on it ASAP, graze in 1-3 day grazing cells.
We do winter Triticale like this, you will grow more tonnage overall if you graze it, the plants at this stage will tiller out after grazing.

@schramcattleco We seed winter trit and Italian rye grass with all silage mixes for Autumn grazing, adds protein and bulk to the first cut silage as it all stays vegetative and regrows, we will typically get anywhere from 20-50 pair days AC of Autumn grazing depending on moisture.

After another 1" of rain, we moved the yearlings & cull cows on our #doubledownblend from @UnionForage again this morning. We have quite a bit of volunteer canola as well, thanks to our flattened crop last fall but they're eating it up & getting fat & sassy. #cellgrazing
