Use this as your easy, whole-grain base (no grinding needed):
30% corn
30% wheat
20% peas
10% oats
10% fish meal
2% poultry nutri-balancer
Free-choice kelp
Free-choice aragonite (or oyster shell / crushed eggshells)
3️⃣ What each part does
Corn + wheat = energy to stay active
Peas + fish meal = protein for feathers, growth, and laying
Oats = extra fiber and slow energy
Nutri-balancer + kelp = vitamins and minerals your grains don’t cover well
Aragonite/oyster shell = calcium for strong shells
4️⃣ How to mix it without overthinking
Measure by weight if you can (more accurate), toss in a clean bin, stir well, and feed like normal. Keep kelp and calcium “free-choice” so hens take what they need.

Letting chickens “sort” the mix. If yours pick out the corn first (classic), try slightly cracked grains or mix smaller batches more often so they don’t waste the good stuff.
