This is outstanding work by Bishop Fernandes. We personally know the three sisters who had to return to their countries of origin and will note be allowed to return to their convent. Well done @bishopfernandes https://t.co/R54iatv4oj

My minister did it right. We love him. He and his family are our family. Do not rip us apart. You believe in religious freedom, but you are destroying our family. Please clear the backlog for R-1 religious workers. Please do not do this to our Pastor, his family and our church family. America cannot be great without God. #FaithNotFear
This is so unfair. A fellow pastor and R-1 holder is forced to deport himself and his family because of a Biden Era mistake! @marcorubio@realDonaldTrump@USCIS please fix this.
A father, husband, pastor, & our beloved friend, @alberttiago, was recently forced to self-deport with his family, leaving behind his church. It is an honor to stand with @alberttiago in the fight against @JoeBiden's war on #ReligiousFreedom. We hope you continue to stand with us
Just so you know, the bulletin for the new fiscal year went into effect today, and EB-4 non-minister religious workers remain suspended due to the government shutdown. The number of hurdles religious workers must jump through in the U.S. immigration system is astonishing.
📢 Tell Congress to Stand Up for Religious Workers
Catholic parishes, schools, hospitals & ministries are facing a staffing crisis. Foreign-born priests and religious sisters & brothers are being forced to leave due to immigration backlogs, leaving communities without sacraments and spiritual care.

Under the previous administration, religious liberties were under attack. Thank you, @POTUS for your leadership and for the creation of this Religious Liberty Commission that will work to right the wrongs of the past four years.
A significant backlog in religious worker visas is leaving many foreign-born priests & nuns in legal limbo.
Erin Corcoran discusses how this impacts religious workers & analyzes the proposed bipartisan legislation, the Religious Workforce Protection Act.

I am proud to sign on to the bipartisan Religious Workforce Protection Act, H.R. 2672.
Foreign-born priests, ministers, and qualified religious workers serving in congregations across America—and right here in Idaho—should not be penalized due to a federal bureaucratic backlog on unrelated work visa processing.
This legislation will ensure these individuals can continue their impactful service with churches until a decision is made on their EB-4 application.
