This is absurdity. The #SNAP time limit waivers are reasonable & critical way for states to choose whether to waive onerous/punitive/not evidence based time limit in areas with elevated rates of unemployment - where many people face systemic barriers accessing consistent work.

As #debtceiling negotiations continue, we urge @POTUS @SenSchumer @LeaderMcConnell @SpeakerMcCarthy @RepJeffries to reject proposals to further restrict #SNAP. Adding red tape & bureaucracy to SNAP, which already has work requirements, will only hurt people facing hunger.
