Give parents links to resources they can view at home to help their child. Invite parents to google classroom to see what assignments we are working on. #ecsdfl https://t.co/lu53XWvTuV
With today's standards, parents often feel helpless when trying to help their child at home. What is something you do to help empower parents with resources?

A3: I gave my students more freedom in group work to see how they could establish a productive learning environment with little of my involvement. I really want to give my students the chance to lead class more next year. #littlechanges#ecsdfl https://t.co/Ep0dM7DWpr
A2: Excellent communication and provider of support whether academic/behavior help. Truly great admin who truly have your back! One way they could provide further: Pop in for a surprise visit to keep me on my toes to help me better myself #ecsdfl https://t.co/EbBTWunPg4
What is one thing your administration did well to support your role in the classroom & what is one way they could provide further support in the coming year?

A1: Keep an open discussion classroom. Use their feedback they give so they feel important and gain that confidence to take into next school year. #ecsdfl https://t.co/d2xwbAx25N
Good evening everyone! Gary Smalley has a quote I really like, "Life is relationships, the rest is just details." With that in mind, what better way to get started than with everyone introducing themselves!
A5: Positives: Students have been able to view videos of the new school in our area being built and the process behind it. They are also able to keep up with upcoming events at the MS. #5thchat https://t.co/PRyUeyCWeR
A2: Incorporating more rigor based learning. Incorporating more responsibility on the students with data notebooks to track academic progress. #5thchat
Take a deep breath. Get your child involved in their new school. Keep close contact with school. Be there for your child if/when they fall/get discouraged. #5thchat https://t.co/3ZYSZeCAhC
@jvelNOLA They each have an interactive data nb on google classroom. They track AR points, District Testing scores (star), other various items:) This definitely gets them prepared for taking responsibility for their own learning once in MS.
A3: To let go and let their child take responsibility for their own learning. However, some parents let go too much, so there needs to be a middle point:) #5thchat https://t.co/ZcdLrBjm2F
A1: Being a middle school teacher myself for 7 years and now teaching 5th grade, this is up my alley! I have students that are struggling now with academics and I know it will only get worse if they donโt put in the effort from the get go. #5thchat https://t.co/Ndk3hRLjSc
Good evening, #5thchat! Honored to be asked by @PaulSolarz to moderate tonight's discussion on "Transitioning to Middle School." I'm a MS Head in my 5th year of leadership at St. Martin's Episcopal School, just outside of New Orleans! Please introduce yourself.
