stop attaching your self worth to success or any kind of proof. you don't need to prove your self worth neither to yourself nor anyone else. you need to believe you are the man inherently. you need to be confident blindly. i know this is not rational but it will make you successful.
@zacglover i think people are biased to underestimate the power of slow and steady growth and like to think one single event of achieving something will have a big impact in their lives. opportunity cost of not having a job is also high.
@TTrimoreau you don't know in the beginning you start building and start talking to people at the same time. you get feedback, rebuild and get feedback again. worst case you start building something else for the same people, best case you win.
@ColinGardiner the founder should always be the one fundraising. no advisor or employee can replace this job ever. doesn't matter if its pre-seed or series d.
@tokifyi an average human being should not be forced into being top tier just to survive. it is reserved for the talented and obsessed people. blaming the average joe for not trying hard is wrong.
@whizwang the real flex here is having a family and being the provider of the house.
the status symbol not the abilty to pay for the nannies or the private school and i am sure people in this situation has never thought that their family is a tool for them to project their wealth.
@NavalismHQ@naval optimizing for productivity results in linear and painful progress. if you are stuck or burnt out embrace idleness for a brief period of time and probably you will be amazed by your own thoughts.
@vic_lbts people detect easily if AI runs an acccount in the long run and you will lose credibility because of that. if you lose the credibility you won't get any leads because of that. stop writing any content with AI, you will get some text to put somewhere but never real outcomes.
@awilkinson@metalab stop sending cold emails on your founder time. maybe send some emails if there is intent (warm). if you don't have an SDR you should not send cold emails ever.
@siddharthwv life does not work this way. you need to stack things instead of destroying them. you start building the business on top of your job and increase your income/paths available. the transition should be slow and smooth.
