Today marks my one year anniversary with JMS! 🎉
My leaders respect me and value my knowledge. The employees trust me and I listen to their concerns, feedback, and stories.
I love what I do because I can make a difference. 💗

@Linc_Butler Yes, she died and we do have an EAP. I’ll make sure the employees have the information in case they need it. Thank you for the reminder to take care of myself as well.
#hrcommunity I lost my first employee in my HR career. She was kind and hardworking. She worked here a long time and everyone is crushed.
Any words of wisdom or advice you want to share on your experience with this?
Today we say goodbye to my friend, Chief Petty Officer Aaron Wright.
His friendship and Navy mentorship meant the world to me.
I’ll forever cherish our time together. Fair winds and following seas, Chief.

WFH is important to a lot of people know that they know that their jobs can be done from home. I know many introverts who prefer to work at home.
Pay has been a huge one during the pandemic. Changing jobs accounts for larger increases that are much higher than the annual raises
@BethDillonHRPro Prior to the pandemic, I would have said yes. But, we now know (from exit interviews) that people are voluntarily leaving jobs they like for reasons other than a bad manager: WFH...better pay...and just to try something new
That’s true. Ha!
The webcast said that managers are responsible for 70% of the employee morale. So it’s definitely important, but not the only reason that people leave.
@BethDillonHRPro It depends (said every HR pro ever 😅). Managers play a major role in shaping the experience of their team members, but there are many things that go beyond a manager's control that can also influence this and ultimately lead someone to quit their job.
I agree that the majority of the time that I’ve spoken to people they left because of their manager. If it wasn’t their managers it was due to the company culture or coworkers.
I wanted to give a shout out to @meridian_title for the cute gifts the leadership team gave to all of the administration people last week.
Anyone feel like HR Coordinator is synonymous with Chaos Coordinator and should we consider hazard pay for the position? 🤣
