@heidihope13 I love this idea! Using VR to show others what is really occurring in the world. Since many are beginning to not listen to experts maybe if they see it for themselves they will start to care. #EDU6323
@shermpro@LindaEl22812295 It was hit or miss with the people who tried it out. Just different sensor issues and such. But they did have some positive feedback from a few.
#EDU6323 Boise State Univerity has a Games, Interactive Media, and Media technology program that has students use VR and AR to solve real-world problems. https://t.co/V3fXZVAD8N
#Edu6323 I get a kick from the fact that the ultimate in digital submersion (VR) actually limits your digital distractions because it controls the environment you are participating in so you only focus on the task at hand.
#EDU6323 Ideating the use of VR/AR and future tech to use in our current COVID situation to have meetings makes me think of the Jedi Council room. Where participants would just hologram into the meeting. This would be perfect in the age of Covid-19 :)
@pjbishop93 Me, too! I have astigmatism but only in one eye so I get super dizzy wearing VR. My husband loves it thought. He keeps trying to find experiences for me to try that don't have too much motion in the experience but no luck. #Edu6323
#EDU6323 I think polling can be motivational for students. Polls can bring students together to share thoughts in a safe space, test out questions without having a wrong answer tied to your name, and they can be fun.
@olivia_teaches@PearDeck I used mental and emotional health polling a lot this past spring. Have a feeling it is going to be useful for this fall as well. #Edu6323
Schoology lets you add polls to your Updates. I will add in a poll with an AP question every now and then to see how well my students understand a concept. #EDU6323
It is a great tool to get a temperature gauge of my online students to see where they are at in understanding a concept or how they are feeling overall with the class or life. #EDU6323
@DAllen_94 I chose Digital Collaboration just because getting students to collaborate in an online class is a challenge. I've come away with a few more tips and tricks for this upcoming school year #EDU6323
@bwatwood The order of platforms listed in the assignment correspond to the percentage of use (1. Wakelet, 2. https://t.co/oujURm6Zl0, etc). I wonder if you flip the list and put Pearltree first if more people will choose to use Pearltree. #EDU6323
@TommyWa56272129@AdamELID I agree, Tommy. Videos add in that human element and make students more comfortable with sharing in an online class. #Edu6323
@DAllen_94 @kristinburgh@bwatwood Yes, it makes you feel invested in the class. Like you need to log in on Monday to see the video just like you would attend class to see the content for the week. #Edu6323
