@AnaKasparian2@hexprax I have. Knife fight with a crackhead. And I went on the train again the next day bc I wasn’t gonna let some random crackhead scare me from living my life.
I’ve had significantly more near-death experiences from cars, both as an occupant and a pedestrian.
American conservatism just doesn’t appeal to me because I’m not scared of everything.. not scared of immigrants, crime, using public transportation, cities. I’m interested in other people and like talking to them. Even if someone is weird it doesn’t really bother me.
@elijahdaniel I did this one time when a guy said something similar to my face at work. After we kicked him out, I used his tab info to track him down, and then got him fired. 😂
@SanDiegoFreeman@NortonMpls I walk to the local grocery store 2 blocks away most of the time, but I definitely go to the nice Target in the burbs on my bike to pick up groceries that are cheaper there.
@Godblsmnymkr@elsecaller_ It’s literally a basic economic theory. It’s part of high school math. It’s not like it’s some high level concept for professional gamblers and economists.
@Godblsmnymkr@elsecaller_ Yes. And the rate at which those prices are increasing is down. From 9% all the way down to 2% (which is normal).
The prices will remain higher. A deflationary spiral would be bad for everyone.
@stevesmith30978 @LenValyrian More like he didn’t realize he’s only there bc of a government program. There was a lot of low info voters out there who think China is gonna pay these tariffs, or that Project 2025 isn’t gonna happen.
@Godblsmnymkr@elsecaller_ Inflation is a rate of increase. If the rate of increase has gone down to the same level it was pre-Covid, then inflation is indeed down.
That does not mean that prices go down, they just increase more slowly. Deflation is arguably more dangerous.
@Just4SnG@aaronmarkbrown@cenkuygur People were stuck at home bc of Covid and they were sent mail in ballots in many places.
This time, they weren’t, and decided to do other stuff instead of voting.
@aaronmarkbrown@cenkuygur They stayed home. People weren’t stuck at home with a mail-in ballot like they were last time, and they couldn’t be bothered to do it this time.
A few friends of mine left the top of the ticket blank and voted down ballot.
@Logan1524@edgarrmcgregor Project 2025, aka the “Mandate for Leadership”, from the Heritage Foundation. He implemented about 2/3 of the last one, and has admitted he’s going to use it again in 2025.
democrats fixed inflation and were punished for it by voters whose primary concern was inflation
how do you even begin to build a campaign in an environment like this
