@AimeeTRES I had the opportunity to live and work in Japan for 3 years as an English teacher. At times I felt like I was on the moon. The culture and the communication was so different from my own...I try to be patient with our ESOL students and their families.

@AimeeTRES A3 I have found that home visits are a good way to break through "the bubble" we all live in. Parents and students really appreciate the effort, and it takes me out of my comfort zone and puts me in theirs. #TRESbesthope

@AimeeTRES A3 I have found that home visits are the best way to break through with parents and students. Not everyone feels comfortable making home visits, but I have learned so much by spending time in the student's comfort zone. The effort has always been rewarded.
