hi, i’m betty 👋 head of GTM at @heycalle
we’re building the phone line for AI agents: give your agent a goal, it makes the call and comes back with the answer.
usually between the US, LATAM & SEA, meeting builders.
what’s the call you’ve been putting off? 👇
Only the relevant details, for me! When I moved my X agent to a laptop that stays on, the new @claudeai chat got one README of what had moved and what was left, and that was the whole handover.
It picked up from there fine. Is your agent-to-agent memory closer to that, a short handover, or the full log?
Agreed, that was the one we tripped on too! This month we retired the agent that turned every to-do on our team board into a first draft, because most of those to-dos needed a person, and a draft didn't help.
The plain one that sends everyone their overdue to-dos at 6pm is still running.
@buildinlisbon singapore next week, then SF from late Nov.
i lead GTM at @heycalle, the phone line for AI agents: your agent gets a goal, makes the call and comes back with the answer.
congrats on the 224! i'm still chasing my first 1,000, so i'll be watching how Thailand goes
mostly replies on X for me right now. my own posts reach somewhere between 10 and 60 people, and a reply in someone else's thread usually reaches a few hundred.
i lead GTM at @heycalle, and @claudeai helps me find the threads where i have something real to add. do the people who find you through replies tend to stick around?
@rishabhnasa@heycalle Ooh, reels! Do the ones that bring learners show the app itself, or someone stuck on the problem first?
We're working out the same thing for @heycalle's videos right now, so I'm curious which one wins for you.
@amasad when we sold AI phone calls into regulated industries, the deck that won was mostly audit trail and a little product.
i lead GTM at AI Rudder. what do government buyers ask @Replit about first, the build or the sign-off?
@claudeai drafts my replies and i post each one myself, so i see a lot of the near misses.
the one i catch most often answers a nearby topic: a post about SaaS cancellations got a draft about gyms. i'd add a check for whether the reply uses the post's own example or swaps in a generic one.
i lead GTM at @heycalle. will the open-source version let people tune their own signals?
we retired one of our marketing agents this month for that reason. it turned every to-do on our team board into a first draft, and most of those to-dos needed a person to make a call more than a draft.
i lead GTM at @heycalle and build our team's agents. what's the simplest if/else you've seen beat an agent?
mine is the scout too. it reads public @X digest every morning and writes a digest, with the questions people asked me at the top, so my reply drafts answer those first.
since it's all strangers' posts, the drafts treat it as data only, and they skip it entirely if anything outside the digest folder changed. does your writing bot ever get told to do something by what the scout picked up?
@nurijanian Thanks George, and for the follow! I'll read it this weekend.
My notes on the LinkedIn agent's drafts are mostly reactions ("so basic", "nothing specific"), so I'm curious whether it can turn those back into the reasons I was actually using.
For me it's been the replies, by a long way. My own posts this week reached somewhere between 9 and 65 people each, and one reply in a builder thread reached nearly 1,900.
So I've just moved to one post a day and the rest of the time goes into replies. Are your follows coming from the replies too, or from the posts?
@rishabhnasa Fair point - I've been skipping those days!
Funny timing, today's post about an agent throwing away my edits got an answer from someone I'd never met, and it wasn't really about a build at all. I'll try one of those next time the log is thin.
@ChrisWillx spent months trying to find out whether a popular AI voice was trained on his, and found nobody whose job it is to settle it. "Every other thing you own has a referee."
I work on an AI that makes phone calls, so this one stays with me. Whoever picks up should be able to tell who's calling and for whom. I don't think anyone has a great answer for that yet, us included.
