The Tri-County Health Department voted 5-3 to pass a new public health order requiring masks in schools and child care settings for everyone over age 2. There is no longer an ability for counties to opt out of the public health order. We’ll have a story shortly.

We shouldn’t go back to the schools of March 2020 – that’s a low bar. Right now, we have the chance to be bold – stronger mental health support, better training, and the opportunity to address inequities that existed long before COVID-19.
