@huge_reality@publicroad I’m more worried about him making fun of an opinion piece saying the author should know that all power is hereditary: https://t.co/gYcKz0hako
But all power is hereditary…did some Guardian writers never listen to their dons when they read out their first naive undergraduate essays? Why are they allowed to be still writing them for public consumption?
I enjoyed _The Liturgy of Politics_. Check it out while you wait for this to arrive. (If you want a taste of her insightfulness, check out the episodes of @HolyPostPodcast that she’s on.)
I’m delighted to share the COVER for my new book, out next year with @BrazosPress & available for preorder NOW. I’m terrified & excited for y’all to read it. I firmly believe that thinking historically about the Bible can help us read it faithfully now.

To all of my White clergy brothers and sisters, hear my heart on this one. We need your help. These are your Senators who sit in your districts and listen to your preaching. Help us.

For the past few months, I've been investigating a history of unchecked sexual harassment at the place I work, @CTmagazine.
Here's the story: https://t.co/xVbCXoKm20
Chicago churches hoped they'd inspire others to give when they raised enough money to pay off $5.3 million in medical debt. Two years later, the United Church of Christ has topped $100 million in canceled debt.

I never submitted a story to the PRT of the @The_ACNA for the spiritual abuse I underwent while in the Diocese of the Upper Midwest. In part, because I’m an ennea9 and put things off at times. But the other part was because I did not trust that the PRT was on my side.
I’m loving @CatherineMcNiel’s new book, Fearing Bravely — I’m going to be thinking about this question for a while: “Are we afraid to love the God who invites his followers to die rather than kill?” #FearingBravely
There is a WORLD of difference between
partisan politics don’t belong in the pulpit because our faith is apolitical
and
partisan politics don’t belong in the pulpit because they are rivals to the political ethic native to our faith.
I know everyone saying “We need doctrine *and* kindness” means something good and true, but I’m tired of it.
Scripture is full of direct, unambiguous instructions about how we treat people. That is doctrine. You cannot have correct doctrine and mistreat people. It’s impossible.
@djdarkbeat I’m not familiar with the nuances of Mermaid, but the [original Markdown spec][spec] lets you use HTML in it.

Terrific news! Apple's first step toward making parts and tools available to the repair community is pro-customer and pro-environment. Apple's heavy-handed stance against it was way out of sync with their cultivated pro-consumer, pro-environment persona. https://t.co/sYqBEWdKl5
I'm extremely uncomfortable with government agencies dictating what types of ports manufacturers must include on their devices. This stifles innovation and it isn't their place. Imagine if they tried to do this on laptops. We wouldn't have had MagSafe (the first good one)
