It was a pleasure to be a part of World Sustainable Development Summit 2024 hosted by Team @teriin as part of their 50th Year, at New Delhi from 07 to 09 February 2024

Our Ideations during the Event were fruitful and one was honoured to offer the following suggestions during the "High-Level Convening of Industry Charter for Near Zero Emmisions by 2050":-

1. Curate an Energy Transition Roadmap for 2070 with mapping of Population-based Domestic & Industrial Energy Demand and Pathways assigned
2. Energy Security to be under Union List alone for better Policy Advocacy and boosting confidence for Investments and Project Developers from across the Globe
3. Work on the PPPP-Model keeping Farmers as Stakeholders in all Bioenergy and Biofuels Projects while sharing Profits too with them
4. Focus on Upstream Supply Chains and Logistics with enabling Technologies, Investment and Resourcing to allow Scaling Up of Renewable Energy
5. Skill Development in multiple Renewable Energy Sectors rooted through ITI, Educational Institutions etc and by imbibing best Global Practices
6. Lifestyle Change and Adaptation to be a focus through education and social organisations outreach
7. Standardization in all facets of product quality, designing Projects, Carbon Credits, Emission Norms, Efficient etc
8. Proactive policies in Bharat to capitalise on neo-concepts that are suited to and are in our best interests in future, to include CCUS, Carbon Credits etc
9. Create Circular Economies by linking varied Renewable Energy Pathways
10. Coherent Policy Initatives keeping future needs and desired Energy Mix into consideration and keeping a check on Export Policy recommendations emanating from Industry
11. Climate and Green Finance initiatives could promote low cost of borrowing with blended finance and reduced documentation and hindering impact of Credit Rating etc
12. Defence Sector should focus on Scope 3 as well and have a Energy Transition plan

This Scheme will pave way for Sustainable Supply Chains for Biomass (Agriculture Residue) as Feedstock for CBG Projects in Bharat

Good Efforts by Team @HardeepSPuri to bring out this Scheme with inputs from Stakeholders and one is sanguine that it will be good for Farmers too

Many from @mnreindia @NITIAayog @PMOIndia @AgriGoI and other Ministeries, our Bioenergy Industry, including Associations like @IndianIfge @biogasindia @teriin @BGAFtweets @ASSOCHAM4India @FollowCII @ficci_india have been actively involved in Policy Advocacy with companies like @Adani_Gas @NiraniGroup @RIL_Updates @GPSRenewables @mitsuiandco @Shell_India @PrajIndustries @Thermaxglobal, with few of us and many more pushing this case for Project Sustainability

It was an honour to moderate a Session at the Conference on “Fuels of Future 2.0 – Converging Towards Greener Growth", organised by Team @ASSOCHAM4India at New Delhi on 16 January 2024

It was insightful to ideate with Panelists Dr Pankaj Sharma, PPAC, @PetroleumMin, Shri Srikumar Krishnamurthy, @ICRALimited & Lt Col Monish Ahuja, CMD, PRESPL who spoke about their experiences and shared inputs for Policy Advocacy as well

Apart from insights shared during the Session, ranging from Energy Transition of Bharat, Operations & Logistics constraints to Challenges in Upstream, Midstream and Downstream in varied Energy-related Sectors, three Key Recommendations made by me were:-
1. Energy Security must be under the Union List.
2. PPPP-Model for Biomass-based Bio-Energy Sector for Upstream with Farmers as Stakeholders and for Rural Empowerment & Risk Mitigation is essential.
3. Workforce Creation for future Bio-Energy including Biofuels Sector is important.

4. Curating a State Bioenergy Policy with thorough Stakeholders consultations and Inter-Ministerial & Inter-Departmental ideations
5. Workforce creation for Projects in an Innovative method, as discussed
6. Addressing Hard-to-Abate Sectors, Scope 3 GHG Emitters, Defence Forces etc
