The debate that is going across the world is why every large nation needs a sovereign model.

I believe the debate should be around technology and not just models.

The cloud space in which I work closely, is dominated heavily by 3 American companies. Even in a space, as new as AI, it is dominated by companies founded in the US.

Even if we have sovereign models, we need platforms and products that can take these models in a efficient way to customers across the country.

That's what we have been steadily working in Jarvislabs, for the last 6+ years.

The cloud that is being built in India for the world.

In the last few days, I have spoken to founders, tech leaders who are exploring on how they can build on Indian cloud platforms.

So many people seem to be rooting for the death 💀of the IT industry, and ironically, most of them have never worked in IT.

It's fascinating how pessimism can create entire narratives out of thin air. What many fail to appreciate is that the IT sector contributes roughly 8% of India's GDP and has been a major driver of urban growth, employment, and economic transformation over the past few decades...

I'm not expecting that IT will necessarily be the primary engine of growth from here on. What we're witnessing is a significant technological shift, and history has shown us many such transitions before. The difference this time is the scale.

The IT industry will face disruption, no doubt. But disruption doesn't automatically mean extinction. Like every major industry before it, IT will adapt, evolve, and reinvent itself to fit the new reality...

It may not lead the next phase of growth in the same way it did in the past, but it will survive, and most likely emerge in a different, more evolved form.

I thought something like this will happen. But did not anticipate this to happen so fast.

Large countries like India cannot rely for core technology and core technlogy is not just LLMs.

The implications of this could be devasting, 1 example that I can think of:

An american developer has ascess to powerful technology than anyone else. So competing fairly gets harder. Enterpreuners, developers from countries like India, Africa already have to struggle a lot, limitation in know how, capital, have to fight for engineers with global companies.

What if the same happens to parts of internet, say Github, youtube, x, linkedin, android, ios and more.

Time for the world to build tech companies and not be highly dependent on one country or one company.

A few months ago, GPU cloud meant dashboards, SSH, setup scripts, monitoring logs, and the occasional painful realization that a machine was still running overnight.

Then coding agents became part of my daily workflow.

Claude Code. Codex.

They all live in the terminal. They run commands. They parse JSON. They don’t mind babysitting long-running jobs.

And that made something obvious:

If agents are going to write code, run experiments, train models, and debug infra… they need a clean way to control GPUs too.

So we built JL the JarvisLabs CLI.

It lets you provision GPUs, run jobs, monitor experiments, download results, and pause/destroy machines directly from the terminal.

But the bigger unlock is this:

You can now ask your coding agent to handle the GPU workflow for you.

“Spin up an H100, run this experiment, monitor logs, pull back the output, and pause the machine when done.”

That’s the future we are excited, some of our users say they stopped using UI.

Less time fighting infrastructure.
More time testing ideas.
More autonomous experimentation.
More leverage for founders, researchers, and builders.

We also added agent skill files during setup, so tools like Codex, Claude Code, Gemini CLI, and others can learn the right command patterns and avoid expensive mistakes like leaving GPUs running.

This is early, we are planning to add a lot more. We are hoping to release a dedicated jobs feature to CLI first, hopefully this week.

The next generation of GPU cloud or Software won’t just be human-operated.

It’ll be agents or computers using them.

Jarvis Labs now supports VMs with GPUs.

This is something our users have been asking for years.

Until two weeks ago, Jarvis Labs only offered templates — containers that are fast, flexible, and great for most ML workloads. But some of you needed more. A full operating system. Root-level control. The kind of flexibility only a VM gives you.

We wanted to build this for a long time. But Jarvis Labs was bootstrapped, and VMs come with hard infrastructure problems — public IP allocation, networking, the works. After our acquisition by E2E Networks, those blockers finally got cleared.

So we built it. Customers have been using it for 2 weeks now.

Here's the part that surprised even us: our VMs — whether you're running on H100s, A100s, or L4s — are performing close to containers.

If you are using tools like Claude Code, you may realize that at some point of time you run out of context length. A trick that I use is I just tell Claude Code that I am running out of context, dump all the important things into a https://t.co/4rfQutyUN6, and I will start a new session with https://t.co/4rfQutyUN6. This works perfectly well for me.
