this language is now indexed as a form of racial harassment. The mere mention of Palestinians and their ongoing mass killing, siege and starvation is treated as a form of bigotry. I don’t know what else to say other than this is completely dystopian and insane.
Polite reminder. Trump & Brexit are not 2 different things. They are the same thing. Same companies. Same data. Same Facebook. Same Russians. Same Cambridge Analytica. Same Robert Mercer. Same Steve Bannon. Same Breitbart. Same Alexander Nix. Same Donald Trump. Same Nigel Farage.

A Chinese medical team has just helped Zimbabwe carry out its first Deep Brain Stimulation and first Spinal Cord Stimulation surgeries – major neuromodulation procedures used for Parkinson’s, drug-resistant epilepsy, post-stroke rehabilitation and chronic pain. The Zimbabwean side led, with Chinese surgeons providing technical support.
The technology – developed by Tsinghua University and commercialised by Beijing PINS Medical – is internationally rated but significantly cheaper than the US equivalents, making it actually deployable in African health systems.
The lead Zimbabwean neurosurgeon, Dr Nathaniel Zimani, said: “If China wasn’t there, we may get this technology 20 years from now. Because of this collaboration, we’ve advanced such medical technologies by 20 years in our country... It’s teaching us how to fish, than giving us fish.”
This is the 23rd Chinese medical team sent to Zimbabwe since 1985 – four decades of continuous medical cooperation. It sits within the broader China-Zimbabwe “all-weather community with a shared future” framework, under which China has pledged to support Zimbabwe’s development and to oppose external interference and illegal sanctions.
Compare that with the West’s engagement with Zimbabwe over the decades. Britain ruled Zimbabwe – then Rhodesia – through nearly a century of brutal settler-colonialism, dispossessed the Black majority, and fought a vicious war to prevent independence.
When Zimbabwe finally won its liberation in 1980, and in the early 2000s reclaimed its land, the West responded with an illegal sanctions regime that crippled the country’s economy and inflicted enormous suffering.
Two models of engagement, side by side. One built on plunder, white supremacy, colonialism and neocolonialism. The other on solidarity, development and knowledge transfer.

Let me explain how the real world works: Wall Street doesn't hand you 30% of a generational asset out of charity.
When institutional money refuses to swallow an inflated private market valuation, they need a massive liquidity sponge to absorb the float.

Two of India's leading experts on the Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Dr. Manish Chandi and Dr. Vardhan Patankar sat down with me to explain what is truly at stake in Great Nicobar.
From the leatherback turtles that cross entire oceans to nest at Galathea Bay, to birds, fish and wildlife found nowhere else on Earth, to the stunning coral reels that could be wiped out completely - these islands are an ecological treasure unlike anything India has.
We also spoke about something deeply troubling: how the Forest Rights Act was bypassed, and how the Nicobarese and Shompen tribal communities were manipulated into signing away land that is rightfully theirs.
This is a podcast every Indian should hear. The more people understand what is being destroyed - and how quietly it is being done - the harder it becomes for this government to get away with it.

Maulana Barkatullah lived and died for the freedom of his country, carrying the hopes of millions across oceans and borders.
That is why a university was named after him in Bhopal.
A scholar, journalist, and tireless campaigner, he joined hands with fellow exiles to form a Provisional Government of Free India in 1915, asserting Indian self-determination at a time when the prospect of independence seemed distant. As Prime Minister in that government-in-exile and as a close collaborator of leaders such as Raja Mahendra Pratap and Maulana Ubaidullah Sindhi, Barkatullah took the struggle beyond India’s frontiers lobbying foreign governments, publishing fearless critiques of imperial rule, and inspiring young activists with the conviction that liberty must be pursued even from exile.
His final years in the United States did not dim his devotion. When he passed away in Sacramento on 20 September 1927, he was far from home but not from the work to which he had devoted his life.
Those who laid him to rest there recorded a hope shared by many: that his remains and his legacy would find their rightful place in a free India. That hope speaks to the deep bond between personal sacrifice and national aspiration.
Today, remembering Maulana Barkatullah is more than an act of historical recall; it is a reminder that freedom was achieved through the courage of those who organized beyond easy sight, who built networks across continents, and who kept faith when return seemed uncertain.
May his memory inspire continued commitment to justice, learning, and the dignity of all who strive for liberty.
