@wadefoster The disagreement is the product. I run a two-model version of this and the one rule that mattered was writing down where they split instead of resolving it. Curious if War Council preserves the losing side.
@Scobleizer This is the stated-preference trap. People are reliable about what they've felt and unreliable about what they've only imagined. That research wasn't measuring demand, but imagination.
Question after months of B2B grind: Why is there endless content on building product and almost nothing honest about distribution? Every "playbook" I've read is survivorship bias written after the fact. The only way to learn this is hit-and-trial with your own money on the line.
@KateBour Seen the opp failure too. Team hears a sharp reform, everyone nods, nobody can unsee it, and it's wrong. Reaction is only diagnostic when coming from their data arranged differently.
@codyplof One thing that changed the payoff for us is making disagreement a required output. When the reviewing model just nods, we learned nothing and paid twice. We log the tension now instead of resolving it.
In my role over the years, many highly talented people have candidly shared how they’re feeling about their lives and careers.
These days, the feelings of regret, confusion, and FOMO are higher than I’ve ever seen.
While life teaches us better lessons here than anyone else can, here’s something to consider:
You will never make the perfect career decision every time.
And the more talented you are, the greater your accumulated regret about that offer you rejected and that opportunity you didn’t pursue.
So remember this: when you imagine what could’ve gone much better if you’d made a different choice, you will miss seeing what could have gone worse with that choice.
If you are happy and comfortable, imagining how you’d be even happier if only you’d done XYZ or ABC is a guaranteed formula to turn happiness to misery.
