I’m glad it’s not one of those days I’m at the airport to witness such a shameful parade of your brothers being marched out and handed over. This is a walk of shame.

These apanilekun jaye build their entire lifestyle by preying on lonely, elderly and vulnerable people deserve exactly this outcome. No glamour, no “hustle” narrative, just consequences.

What is more disturbing than the crime itself is the chorus that still tries to sanitise it. The moment someone starts comparing these men to politicians or posting “at least they dey try” under videos like this, they are not being clever.

They are advertising that they see nothing wrong with stealing from people who cannot easily recover. That mindset is part of why the country keeps paying the price in reputation.

If you openly celebrate fraudsters, you are not a bystander. You are helping normalise the very behaviour that makes every honest Nigerian abroad start from a position of suspicion.

The extradition is good news. The louder message should be that those who cheer the thieves on are not protecting “our boys”. They are protecting a stain. You are just as despicable as those criminals and you should go spend some time in jail with them.
