@JoshLBarnett The BJJ guy won in spite of the wrestler actively not engaging with the ruleset (points for passing, actively going for submissions). In a wrestling match he’d get called for stalling and eventually DQ’d for not trying to engage in the match according to the rules.
@adamtirapelle In BJJ it’s clear why this is a great position because next comes knee bars, ankle locks, etc… There’s a clear advantage but in wrestling it’s hard to progress from this position. It’s murkel like but less clear why this position is would be awarded
@pntrack@MrCoachR In other industries where there’s as much subjectivity, employees or 1099s step up their efforts to stand out. That’s job security, and that’s the point of performance based employment. Lots of industries where that’s the case.
@irentdumpsters The pool industry at large does need an MBA type shot in the arm, but branded trucks is not it. Nobody cares about a branded truck if your pool is green. And you don’t want conversions you want long-term high paying customers.
@Mikethelummox Don’t like this idea because it’s so niche. Then realized that’s it strength. In the right settings it could do well it’s just about picking the right events.
@johnnidijulius Appreciate the lesson, and appreciate the sentiment, but only concrete tangible advice was to control the controllables. Get excited for the hardest route possible, what’s the first step that a kid takes to start doing that? Maybe that was part of the program but not in the clip
@themaskdom @Iberianamerica All my little dark aunts married tall white men they play like fiddles. They grew up with stubborn Hispanic fathers and were like nah I’m good on that
@WanderinPhil@shawngorham If you’re saying corp culture is a place where people can’t deal with a woman being called a female then it sounds like it’s right where the weak belong. That’s silly
