my life got better when I realized I don’t have to be nice. being nice got me ran over, taken advantage of, stressed out and disrespected. I'm not nice. I’m a good person. There's a difference.
my biggest 🚩 is that i’ve normalised silent treatment when im not in mood for a talk. i don’t really know how to express my feelings especially when im sad and hurt. i only talk to myself in my head about how i feel all the time.
i saw someone say “i was put into his life to teach him unconditional love and he was put in mine to teach me self love.” and as heartbreaking as that truth is, maybe we can simply be grateful that the universe sent us something so deeply hurtful that it forced us to come home
the hardest part about growing up is that the show must go on . you could be going through the roughest patches , the lowest of lows , the basement of rock bottom with no sign of light . you still have to show up , act your part and be good at it .
