@adgeohow @Haggis_UK I agree. As someone who was terrible at exams, but never got lower than 70-90% on all coursework through uni. 3 exams in 3 days, worth 80% of my final marks. Happen to get a migraine that week, averaged 50% in all with 2:1 overall. Missed out on scholarships because of it

Agree to welcome asylum seekers.. but can’t ignore 500 males cooped up for a year could produce a few bad eggs. I often walk at night (beach, pub etc.) but this would make me cautious walking home

@Urbain_Toreador @edwinhayward As a seafarer this is the norm. Can be 3-4 men cabins on some vessels. Our galley crew can do 6 months also. And if bad weather can easily have no work for a month.. I can tell you we don’t get massive recreational spaces either. Mentally it can be tough

@EG_Cunningham Ohh I work on vessels and It’s commonplace. My favourite, being told by the client rep ‘you can’t be out here you’re not trained in coring’, whilst the new male trainees weren’t questioned. Was happy to tell him I’ve lead surveys in it and am perfectly qualified, in fact.
