The incentives are all out of sync.

[thebiasedSkeptic @biased_skeptic]

@girllich1 Phenomenal

[Misha @drethelin]

This scene is the moment I really got into HPMOR the first time

[thebiasedSkeptic @biased_skeptic]

@m_ashcroft That looks fantastic. Do you have a recipe you can share for this?

[thebiasedSkeptic @biased_skeptic]

@JimDMiller @catehall Perhaps Ageing can not be cured... hard to imagine a way that slow accumulations of mutations in every cell can be counteracted as example. So perhaps we will cure most diseases, slow the ageing process to some extent and yet still die of old age? What makes you think otherwise?

[thebiasedSkeptic @biased_skeptic]

@Aella_Girl @chrislakin Not yet.

[James Miller @JimDMiller]

AI means most people reading this will either be dead within 10 years or still alive in 100.

[thebiasedSkeptic @biased_skeptic]

@allTheYud Thank you for speaking.

[thebiasedSkeptic @biased_skeptic]

@bryan_caplan How would that bet be resolved?

[Brian Lui @brianluidog]

@sasuke___420 It's called premeditated murder. Look it up mate!

[thebiasedSkeptic @biased_skeptic]

@tenobrus Could it not be that the singularity comes or is here, we get undescribably rich and the GDP measurement breaks / does not show that change sufficiently well?

[thebiasedSkeptic @biased_skeptic]

@SeracMark @paulg @jpsenescence It may matter to the 84 year old

[thebiasedSkeptic @biased_skeptic]

@TheStalwart You are not weird. But it seems to me that you are missguided and do not reflect enough.

[thebiasedSkeptic @biased_skeptic]

@TheStalwart Seems to me that it is always easy to be «fine» with living to 80 or 90 while still having many decades of life. However as those decades flow away and the pains of ageing start to come in I expect anyone would wish for just a little more life and more vitality.

[thebiasedSkeptic @biased_skeptic]

@allTheYud @s0ulDirect0r The list is so small

[thebiasedSkeptic @biased_skeptic]

@miltonappl3 @IPalasthy What can be found in the wife of Bath's tale?

[thebiasedSkeptic @biased_skeptic]

@justalexoki Not smoking

[thebiasedSkeptic @biased_skeptic]

@drethelin I would be interested in learning about it.

[thebiasedSkeptic @biased_skeptic]

May we solve biology in our long long lifetime.

[thebiasedSkeptic @biased_skeptic]

@bryan_johnson Even if you are very healthy and very focused on your health you can miss diseases for many years.

In a way this gives me hope - things like this show us that we are not at the end of potential for biology. We really are at the beginning.

In time we will fullfill that potential
